What You Are Passionate About:

Helping small and medium-sized businesses get an amazing return on their digital marketing spend.

Ok, that sounds really nice but here’s what we’re up against.

The vast majority of small and medium businesses invest in marketing, but they have no idea if it’s working.

The common saying is, “I know 50% of my marketing is working but I don’t know what 50%.”

Using science, psychology, automation, split-testing, and a killer team, we generate a predictable flow of leads for our clients through all the digital marketing mediums that have proven to work (websites, PPC ads, Social ads, SEO, email marketing, etc).

More importantly, we create a SYSTEM for each of our clients to help them answer the most important marketing question they have in their local market.

“What marketing is working and why!?”

Why am I telling you all this on a job application?

Because, to be the perfect fit for our team and to be wildly successful, what I just described should get you very, very excited!

The Big Picture:

We have several strategies for outbound marketing that we don’t have time to get started but could start bringing in leads.

We also have opportunities to position ourselves with experts by giving speeches, podcasts, blogs, video content, and articles.

We need your help to find the best opportunities and leverage them to build a pipeline of leads and sales.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Selling – You’ll receive leads or will be generating them yourself. You’ll need to determine the client’s core problems, align a solution, and communicate that we’re the best option for them (but only if we are the best option for them), and sign them on as a client.
  2. Relationship Management – In the sales process, you will be doing all of the discovery so as we onboard the client, you need to ensure that all of our promises are being met. Potentially you might be taking some clients on as well.
  3. Inbound Marketing – We’re a digital marketing company. You can use LinkedIn, email marketing, blog posts, and other digital tools to highlight our combined credibility and skills.

Your Skills:

  1. You put other people first. Most of us are not born with this. It’s a skill. And it’s one you’ve cultivated.
  2. The best salespeople ask the best questions and this is a unique and hard-to-develop skill you’ve mastered.
  3. As a digital marketing company, the majority of our communication is via email, IM, text, and in published articles like Blogs, Case Studies, White Papers, etc. You are a prolific writer with proven results. Bonus points if you’re an NLP purveyor!
  4. Our clients don’t care about Click-Thru-Rates and Impression Share. They care about how we can help their business grow and you need to get that point across by weaving in great stories they can connect with.
  5. There are people who are great at making friends and others who are great at closing deals. You do both.
  6. Though this skill is not strictly necessary, we have opportunities for public speaking and it’s the perfect opportunity to set ourselves up as the experts so people are knocking on our door instead of the other way around.
  7. You are a person of gratitude and reciprocal respect with an understanding that you have something to learn from everyone you encounter.
  8. When you are with someone, you are with them – you don’t obsessively look at your phone or watch the people around you – you look into the eyes of the person you are speaking with and make a strong connection.
  9. You listen with the intent to learn.
  10. You set goals backed up by strong habits and accountability to continually push the envelope for you and your team.
  11. You walk a challenging line between humility and confidence and between patience and grit.

You can’t fake the above skills.
Our recruiting process will TEST you for the above skills so if you don’t have them, be honest with yourself, go develop them, and then come back.

Go ahead. Fill me out!

Check as many options as you're interested in. 🙂
  • We'd love to know if it was a customer, friend, family member or someone else who thought you would be interested in joining our team.
  • You'll have more room to explain in detail later.
  • You can round to the nearest number of months.
  • If you need more room, continue writing on the back of this sheet of paper. (Bet you thought you'd never have to read that miserable, essay-test instruction again.)
  • Ok, you will have a boss, he just hates when you call him that. He claims some sort of strange, negative, psychological issues associated with the term. (We call him boss sometimes anyway just cause it's funny to see him squirm.)
  • I have nothing funny to write here. Not everything is a joke, alright. This is a job application! Get serious!
Check the box if on a scale from 1-10 you're at least an 8.
  • Even if you're not familiar with all of them now, more than one of these tools your going to have to own like a boss. (In this instance, using the term boss is completely acceptable.)
  • Take this chance to fill us in on the details we forgot to ask you about. Go ahead, brag a little. But not too much. Just the right amount. Don't mess this up. Seriously.
  • Max. file size: 10 MB.
Just don't be mad if we don't read it. Resumes are just such poor indicators of one's talents and passions that we don't really like them. We can act like a normal business and put it in a file, though.
