The Quick Summary:
Job Opening: Entry Level WordPress Web Designer
Hours: 10-20 hours/week
Commute: How fast can you walk to your computer?
Requirements: Fast internet, reliable computer, basic WordPress skills

You will NOT be isolated.

Actually, we find that our team members (who are spread across 3 time zones and 6 states and provinces) generally feel MORE connected to each other than they did at previous jobs where they were in the same building with their colleagues all day.

You are literally a click away from some of the top experts in PPC, Conversion Rate Optimization, SEO, and online marketing for small businesses in North America. (That’s a big claim but we have the results, testimonials, and certifications to prove it.)

Though you should have some of your own sweet skills, our on-boarding program is extensive and you will learn new things every month to expand your skillset.

As you grow, you will have the opportunity to become a full-time Optimizer however that’s not required if you prefer the flexibility of part-time work.

Your Personality:
Working from home is NOT for everyone. Let’s just admit that up front.

But some people truly excel at it and those people have the following personality traits:

  • Trustworthy – You will have a huge amount of autonomy – so you will be trusted to get important work done efficiently and correctly including reporting your accurate hours.
  • Detail Oriented -You will be working on live websites that are generally the #1 lead source for our clients so attention to every detail is paramount.
  • Competitive – We find this keeps people focused to do superior work, deliver great results, and not get distracted.
  • Reliable – You do what you say you will.
  • Great Communicator – When your team and clients are spread across North America, you have to be a bit obsessed with crisp, clear, written communication.
  • Highly Organized – You can compartmentalize work and personal life and easily juggle and prioritize lists with dozens of tasks each day. You don’t get overwhelmed you just eat the elephant one bite at a time.

Your Talents:
Here are the skills you Must Have (don’t try to fake it, we will test you for these skills during the recruiting process):

  • WordPress
  • HTML5
  • CSS
  • Web Design Experience
  • Basic Graphic Manipulation (i.e. resizing images, cropping)

And here are a few totally not required but would be Nice to Have:

  • Genesis Themes
  • Gravity Forms
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Docs
  • Graphic Design
  • Google My Business

Your Passion:
Helping Small Businesses generate more leads online.

It’s hard to express how excited we get when one of our clients tells us our work has transformed and helped grow their business.

We have been known to throw some wicked virtual high fives and dance a jig when we hear how we’ve helped our clients get more leads.

More leads helps them grow their businesses which means they can hire new team members, afford to send a kid to college, replace their old beat-up pickup truck, and just enjoy life with their family more.

And you’ll be an important contributor to helping them achieve their dreams!

How can you not love being such an important part of someone’s business and life!?

Go ahead. Fill me out!
  • We'd love to know if it was a customer, friend, family member or someone else who thought you would be interested in joining our team.
  • You'll have more room to explain in detail later.
  • You can round to the nearest number of months.
  • If you need more room, continue writing on the back of this sheet of paper. (Bet you thought you'd never have to read that miserable, essay-test instruction again.)
  • Ok, you will have a boss, he just hates when you call him that. He claims some sort of strange, negative, psychological issues associated with the term. (We call him boss sometimes anyway just cause it's funny to see him squirm.)
  • I have nothing funny to write here. Not everything is a joke, alright. This is a job application! Get serious!
Check the box if on a scale from 1-10 you're at least an 6.
  • Even if you're not familiar with them all now, more than one of these skills you're going to have to own like a boss. (In this instance, using the term boss is completely acceptable.)
  • We do all Wordpress sites but sweet skills in any web design would be... uh... sweet.
  • Take this chance to fill us in on the details we forgot to ask you about. Go ahead, brag a little. But not too much. Just the right amount. Don't mess this up. Seriously.
  • Just don't be mad if we don't read it. Resumes are just such poor indicators of one's talents and passions that we don't really like them. We can act like a normal business and put it in your file, though.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
